Bench-buying without regret

Padding density over padding thickness. Soft foam bottoms out under kneeling weight in minutes; dense closed-cell foam supports an hour. Press a thumb hard into the listing photos' padding — if the description doesn't mention density or closed-cell, assume mattress-topper economics.

Anchor points where limbs live. Minimum: four (wrists, ankles). Proper: six-to-eight adding thighs and waist — the waist strap is what keeps rhythm from becoming migration. Welded or through-bolted D-rings only; screwed eyes back out under cyclic load.
